Kazakhstan chief Tokayev in Moscow for 1st foreign consult with

MOSCOW (AP) — Kazakhstan's interim president is making his first foreign consult with on account that being appointed two weeks ago, meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, formerly the speaker of the higher condominium of Kazakhstan's parliament, become named the country's leader after th e unexpected resignation of Nursultan Nazarbayev, who had been in energy on the grounds that the country grew to be unbiased from the Soviet Union in 1991.

Tokayev is probably going to continue Nazarbayev's approach of retaining close members of the family with Russia whereas still cultivating Western international locations.

Tokayev called his nation's ties with Russia "a model relationship" at the meeting Wednesday and says "my project is to make ce rtain this strategy is still in area."
